いらっしゃい  and  Welcome

I’ve dabbled in a variety of different majors and careers like animal medicine, opera singing, acting, and barista; I finally came back to my childhood passion of art with a new twist into the digital realm. I am now primarily a digital painter, with the help of tools like Photoshop and Painter. I also use digital photography and some graphic design to supplement my art.

My motives for creating art are not dreams of scaling social echelons and seeking prestige; rather they are a personal journey of trying to convey my own thoughts and ideas into a pseudo physical form. At the end of the day, I don’t want to change the world with my art; well, that would be nice, but if a person says, “Yes, I like her art,” I feel like I must be doing something right.

My inspirations for art come from many different areas: music, nature (fall and sunsets, in particular), the Japanese language and culture, cats of all shapes and sizes, ROYGBIV and color field studies, Alexander Green, coffee, karate, textures, anime girls, the composer Yoko Kanno, artists like Yoko Furusho, Chiho Aoshima, Mariko Mori, Takeshi Murakami, George Kamitani, Alphonse Mucha, Grasshopper Manufacturers, God, disjointed fragments of dreams, Robert Smithson, all in no particular order. However, I find more inspiration everyday; please feel free to contact or email with new stuff :D
